Public Safety and Criminal Justice Programs

Are you driven by the desire to help people? Looking for a career in public safety? Florida Gateway College can provide the education and training you need.  The Florida Gateway College, Public Safety Training Center is a 50-acre training complex located in Olustee, FL. The training center houses the Law Enforcement Academy, Corrections Academy, Emergency Medical Services Academy, and Fire Academy.

Under the Law Enforcement Academy, students can earn an Occupational Certificate in CMS Law Enforcement–Basic Recruit or an Associate in Science for Criminal Justice Technology whereas Corrections provides an Occupational Certificate in Correctional–Basic Recruit.

Through Emergency Medical Services, prospective students can obtain an Associate in Science for Emergency Medical Services Technology or a College Credit Certificate as an Emergency Medical Technician or as a Paramedic while the Fire Academy trains students for an Occupational Certificate in Firefighter Minimum Standards or an Occupational Certificate that combines both EMT and Firefighting.

In addition to providing multiple certificate and degree options, students at the Olustee campus are given real-life, hands-on experiences with advanced technological equipment like the MILO training system for virtual, interactive training scenarios and the Anatomage Table, which allows students to perform simulated operations on digital bodies.
