Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician-Combined, O.C.

Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician Combined is a two (2) semester program, offered each term, that prepares the student for employment as a Florida-certified Firefighter. The curriculum adheres to the latest NFPA standards, BFST course curriculum, the Florida Department of Education Curriculum Framework, and national standards. Upon completion, students are eligible to take the State of Florida EMT certification exam and the State of Florida Firefighter certification exam. The Firefighter/EMT-Combined Program will start with the EMT course which is available each fall, spring, and summer semester, followed by the firefighter minimum standard course which is only offered in the fall and spring semesters. Upon completion, students are eligible to take the National Registry EMT and the State of Florida Firefighter certification exams.
