In 2021, as part of the Reimagining Education and Career Help (REACH) Act, the Florida Legislature created the Money-Back Guarantee Program. Students who complete a program designated with the money-back guarantee but are unable to find employment six months after graduation will be eligible to request a refund of their tuition costs.  Tuition costs will be based on the following formula: tuition minus institutional scholarships or grants received. Please note, only tuition is included in this guarantee, any fees and other expenses and/or charges will be excluded:

Registered Nursing, A.S. (ASDN-RN)
Practical Nursing, O.C. (PN)
Firefighter/EMT Combined, O.C.

Qualifying Criteria:

To be eligible to receive the benefits of the Money-Back Guarantee program, students must:

• Successfully complete the entire program with at least a 2.50 grade average.
• Be in good financial standing with FGC.
• Be legally eligible for employment in the U.S.
• Have met the minimum attendance requirements as specified by the FGC program of study.
• Be in good standing with the health science host clinical sites associated to the program of study.
• After completion of the eligible program, the student cannot be enrolled in an upper-level stackable program.
• Successfully pass any background checks or drug screening as required by prospective employers.
• Be willing to travel or relocate to a new market to obtain employment within the field.
• Have documented evidence of at least 20 job search company applications that are related to the program of study.
• Have worked directly with FGC Career Services for resume and employment assistance within three months of completing the FGC program of study.
• Pass all required professional credentialing/licensing exams for their program of study.
  • Registered Nursing graduates must pass the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX-RN) within three months of graduation.
  • Practical Nursing graduates must pass the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX-PN) within three months of graduation.
  • Firefighter/EMT program graduates must pass both the National Registry EMT and State of Florida Firefighting certification exams within three of graduation.
• Complete and submit the refund request with the required supporting documentation within twelve months of program completion.

Florida Gateway College is required by federal law to inform you whether its programs lead to professional licensure or certification in the state in which you are located.

FGC's Professional Licensure Information by Program

Florida Gateway College is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (NC-SARA), which allows member colleges and universities to offer educational programs and courses to students who are located in a state under the agreement. NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to oversight of distance education. Currently, every state but California is a member of NC-SARA.

Our College offers a variety of programs that are designed to help students obtain professional licensure within the State of Florida. Licensure standards and expectations vary by state, and FGC does not guarantee certification acceptance in any state other than Florida. Refund Repayment Policy

The National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), a federal law, and the Florida Voter Registration Act require that university and community college offices serving persons with disabilities offer those persons the opportunity to register to vote or to update a voter registration record at the time the applicant applies for services or assistance, applies for renewal of such services or assistance, and/or applies for a change of address. The Center will provide persons with disabilities a preference form and if persons indicate they want to apply to vote the Center will provide a voter registration application form. Applying or declining to register to vote does not in any way affect the amount of assistance persons will receive from the Center. For persons with disabilities who choose not contact the Center in-person the following links provide alternative opportunities to register to vote.

Florida Voting Information

Provides comprehensive information about voting in Florida, including information about voter registration, election dates, and the availability of absentee ballots.

National Mail Voter Registration Form

The online national voter registration form is available so that any student from any state can register to vote. This form must be sent back to your home state for voter registration purposes. If you are a U.S. citizen who lives or has an address within the United States, you can use the National Mail Voter Registration Application Form to complete the following: register to vote in your state; report a change of name to your voter registration office; report a change of address to your registration office; or register with a political party.

Voting-by-Mail (formerly Absentee Voting)

If you are a U.S. citizen who is already registered to vote but will not be able to participate in an upcoming election, you can use this service to request an absentee ballot be sent to you. Requirements vary from state to state.

  • Safety Data Sheets (SDS) – The Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) requires Florida Gateway College to provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS) formerly known as Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). In compliance with Florida Statute 119.071(5), Florida Gateway College issues this notification regarding the purpose of the collection and use of your Social Security number. FGC collects your Social Security number for use in performance of the college’s duties and responsibilities. To protect your identity, FGC will secure your Social Security number from unauthorized access. FGC will never release your Social Security number to unauthorized parties, and each student and employee at FGC will be issued a unique identification number. The unique identification numbers are assigned to students and employees to help to protect identities. Your unique student identification number is used for all educational purposes at Florida Gateway College including registration, access of your online record, etc. Federal legislation relating to the Hope Tax Credit requires that all postsecondary institutions report the Social Security number of all post-secondary students to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This IRS requirement makes it necessary for colleges to collect the Social Security number of every student. A student may refuse to disclose his/her Social Security number to the college, but refusing to comply with the federal requirement may result in fines established by the IRS. In addition to the federal reporting requirements, the public school system in Florida uses the Social Security number as a student identifier. This use is authorized in Florida Statue 229.559 and in School Code Section 1008.386. In a seamless K-20 educational system, it is beneficial for postsecondary institutions to have access to the same information for purposes of tracking and assisting students in the transition from one educational level to the next. All Social Security numbers are protected by federal regulations and are never released to unauthorized parties.
