LAKE CITY, Fla. – Florida Gateway College is pleased to announce the launch of a new Massage Therapy Certificate Program. This comprehensive program is designed to prepare students for rewarding careers in massage therapy across medical, wellness, and hospitality settings.

Set to begin in the Fall of 2026, the Massage Therapy Program is a 32-week program consisting of two 16-week semesters, totaling 750 clock hours of instruction and hands-on training. Classes will be held Monday through Thursday, with occasional Friday sessions, and will run between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Bridge programs will also be available to healthcare professionals (including paramedics, LPNs, and RNs) and graduates of physical therapy programs.

Through a combination of classroom learning and practical experience, students will develop foundational knowledge in anatomy and physiology, therapeutic massage techniques, professional ethics, and client care.

Graduates of the program will be prepared to pursue career opportunities in a variety of settings, including:

  • Medical and clinical environments such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and physical therapy clinics
  • Hospitality and wellness industries, including resorts, spas, hotels, and cruise lines
  • Fitness centers, wellness clinics, and private practice settings

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and are required to complete a background check and drug screening as part of the admissions process.
