Tuition Waivers & Exemptions

The Office of Business Services is responsible for processing tuition and fee waivers and exemptions. The following is a list of tuition waivers and exemptions available at Florida Gateway College. Available Tuition Waivers and Exemptions

• State Employee Tuition Waiver: For eligible students seeking tuition coverage under state guidelines. Visit the webpage for more information.
• Affidavit of Homeless Status for Fee Exemption: For students experiencing homelessness who meet the required criteria.
• Dual Enrolled Students: Covers tuition for high school students taking college courses through dual enrollment.
• Purple Heart Recipients: Waives tuition for U.S. military veterans awarded the Purple Heart or a combat-related decoration.
• State Employee Waivers: Available for eligible state employees seeking to further their education.
• Students in the Custody of the Department of Children and Family Services: Covers tuition for students under DCF custody.
• Out-of-State Veterans and Dependents Tuition Waiver: Provides in-state tuition rates for qualifying veterans and their dependents.
• Relative Caregiver Exemption: Tuition exemption for students under the care of qualifying relatives.
