State Employee Tuition Waiver

FGC will grant up to 6 credits of tuition-free registration for State of Florida employees each term on a space-available basis. Space-available is defined as seats unfilled in the preset maximum class size at the time the student attempts to register during the state employee tuition wavier registration period (established in the approved academic calendar).

This tuition waiver program applies to enrollments in college credit and vocational credit programs which result in a degree, vocational certificate or applied technology diploma. Continuing workforce education, continuing education and courses taught on a contract basis are not eligible for this program.  If the tuition waiver is used for any course being taken for a third or subsequent attempt, the student is responsible to pay for all costs not covered by the waiver.

Access the Waiver

• Must be employed for at least 31 calendar days by state agency 
• Complete FGC admission requirements
• Complete the State Employee Tuition Waiver Form and have signed by supervisor and agency head
• Submit to cashier2@fgc.edu or in person to the cashier in Building 15
• Register online or submit a registration form during the State Fee Waiver registration period
• All additional fees (lab, access, distance learning, etc.) must be paide by fee deadline to remain in classes
