GED® Preparation
The GED® program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to pass the Official GED® Tests and earn their State of Florida High School Diploma. As part of the preparation program, students take GED® Ready, the official practice test for the GED®. The results of this practice test will help guide instruction and assess students' readiness for the actual GED® test. Additionally, completing GED® preparation will better prepare students for postsecondary education.
The GED® consists of four content-area assessments:
- Reasoning through Language Arts (RLA)
- Assessment evaluates a student's ability to read closely, write clearly, and comprehend and edit written texts.
- Mathematics
- Focuses on testing skills in quantitative and algebraic problem-solving.
- Science
- Covers life science, physical science, and earth and space science.
- Social Studies
