LAKE CITY, Fla. – On Saturday, April 26, Florida Gateway College will host the FCSAA/NJCAA Region 8 Women’s Flag Football Conference Championship at the FGC Flag Football Complex.

The regular-season conference champion FGC Timberwolves will welcome the Pasco-Hernando State College Bobcats and the Daytona State College Falcons. The Bobcats and Falcons will kick off the tournament in a semifinal game starting at 12 p.m. The Wolves will head directly to the final at 2:30 p.m., facing the winner of the noon game for the championship title.

The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) will also present awards including Offensive/Defensive Players of the Year, Coach of the Year, and All-Conference Teams.

This tournament comes as FGC prepares for a third consecutive appearance in the NJCAA Women’s Flag Football National Championship Tournament next month in Kansas City, Missouri. The Wolves return as defending back-to-back national champions and aim to make history with a third NJCAA national title.
