The Water Quality Technician Certificate program is designed to prepare individuals for careers in the water quality field, specifically in water, wastewater, or water distribution. The first two courses provide students with the scientific and mathematical foundation necessary for entering the field. The specialized topic courses fulfill the Florida DEP requirement for completing a course of study to take the operator’s certification test. Additionally, students with active water or wastewater treatment operator licenses may receive college credit for their experiential learning.
