LAKE CITY, Fla. – The Teacher Preparation Academy at Florida Gateway College will host the 2026 Teaching and Learning Summit on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., offering educators from across the region an opportunity to collaborate, learn and explore innovative teaching practices.
The free, one-day conference is designed for educators at all levels and will focus on active learning, collaboration and practical classroom application. Centered around the theme “Innovate, Inspire, Impact,” the event aims to help foster innovative teaching practices, inspire learners, and create meaningful and measurable outcomes in schools.
The summit’s keynote speaker will be Mr. Mark Harrison, Florida’s 2026 Teacher of the Year.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in interactive sessions covering a variety of educational topics, including student engagement and classroom management, literacy, educational technology and artificial intelligence in the classroom, students with exceptionalities, and testing and benchmarks. Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance, and a light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
