Cybersecurity, A.S. (CYSC-AS) 60 credits

Cybersecurity

The two-year Cybersecurity A.S. degree prepares students to detect, contain, and remedy IT threats. Students will learn to monitor networks and applications to identify cyber-attacks or intrusions, coordinate and report on cyber incident responses, analyze security log data, provide Incident Response (IR) support, and conduct threat and vulnerability analyses. The program emphasizes cybersecurity foundations, proactive threat intelligence, risk mitigation, and digital forensics techniques. Students will also gain knowledge of access control systems and legal and ethical issues and develop effective communication and soft skills. Upon completion, graduates will be exposed to competencies for industry certifications, including CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, PenTest+, CySA+, and Cisco CyberOps Associate.
