The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program is a comprehensive program designed to equip students with the essential skills, knowledge, and competencies required to thrive in diverse and dynamic business environments. The program enables students with an Associate in Science in Business or an Associate in Arts degree to seamlessly transition into this four-year business program.

Through theory and practical applications, students are exposed to critical areas such as accounting, finance, marketing, management, operations, and business ethics. Program Details

Admission Requirements

An Associate in Science Degree in Business or any Associate in Arts Degree (60 credit hours) with a
minimum 2.5 GPA

Completion of ACG 2021, ACG 2071, CGS 1570, ECO 2013, ECO 2023, MAC 2233, and STA 2023 with
a grade of C or better

Completion of FGC’s Admission application and admission requirements. Select Apply in the top right menu. You will need to create an account first. When you select the Application Type, you should choose Bachelor’s Degree. Complete each section of the application and when you get to the Planned Course of Study section, you should choose B.S. – Business Administration. Currently attending FGC students must still submit a new application for a bachelor-level program. In addition to the application, the following is required (if not already on file) to be submitted to FGC’s Office of Enrollment Services (149 SE College Place, Lake City, FL 32025 or enrollment.services@fgc.edu) to become an admitted student at FGC:

  1. Official high school transcript or GED
  2. Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges

Learning Outcomes

The program curriculum provides a comprehensive education in business administration. Students are exposed to critical areas such as accounting, finance, marketing, management, operations, and business ethics. They also gain valuable critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. This program merges theoretical knowledge with practical applications, preparing students to navigate the complexities of the business world effectively.

  • 1. Students will examine the fundamental business concepts, theories, and models across various functional areas, including marketing, finance, operations, human resources, and management.
  • 2. Students will correlate critical thinking and analytical skills to identify business challenges and opportunities, analyze complex business problems, and propose feasible and innovative solutions.
  • 3. Students will effectively communicate business ideas, proposals, and analyses to diverse audiences through written, oral, and visual means.
  • 4. Students will investigate leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • 5. Students will explore the ability to innovate and think entrepreneurially in developing, planning, and implementing successful business strategies and projects.
