August 3, 2022 FGC to Hold Adult Ed/GED Open House in Dixie County Share Share this post Twitter Facebook eMail Copy URL Copy CROSS CITY, Fla. – On Monday, August 8, Florida Gateway College will hold an Open House at the college’s Dixie Center for area students interested in adult education and GED prep courses offered at the center. The event will run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. “This will be the second semester that the GED/Adult Education program has been offered at the Dixie Center,” said Sandi Tomlinson, Associate Dean of Student Affairs. “We are seeing successes with our first semester drawing to a close, and we are looking forward to continued success stories in the future.” Dixie Center staff will be on hand to assist students and answer any questions on the adult education and GED prep courses available. These classes provide students with the basic skills in reading, language, mathematics, and critical thinking needed for enrolling in college, entering the workforce, and passing the official GED tests to obtain a State of Florida High School Diploma. Tuition is $30 per term.
