March 7, 2023 FGC Performing Arts to Present Adaptation of Molière’s “Tartuffe” Share Share this post Twitter Facebook eMail Copy URL Copy LAKE CITY, Fla. – Florida Gateway College Performing Arts will present four performances of Molière’s “Tartuffe,” as adapted by Noyce Burleson, March 9-12 in the Levy Performing Arts Center. About the show:Originally written and produced in 1664 in Paris, this classical French comedy centers around the con-artistry of the title character, Tartuffe. The story takes place in the House of Orgon, where Tartuffe has plotted his grand scheme to swindle the family out of their estate. Will Orgon realize Tartuffe’s ploy? Or will he fall victim to Tartuffe’s con? The play features 22 cast and crew members, including 17 FGC students and five community members. The play contains adult content and religious themes.
